Sir Elton John he says he has not been able to see out of his right eye for four months, and his left eye is also in trouble after a serious infection plagued him.

The 77-year-old singer said he was unable to complete his new album due to his limited eyesight. Asked when the album with longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin, which was announced last year, would be released, the artist told ABC News’ Good Morning America: “I don’t know. Unfortunately I lost my sight in my right eye because I got an infection in the south of France and it’s been four months now that I can’t see, but my left eye isn’t the best either. So there’s hope and encouragement that everything will work out, but … I’m kind of stuck right now.”

The British star also mentioned that at the moment he can’t see anything, not even read. Taupin recently told Sky News that the album is “incredibly personal” and won’t be Elton John’s last.

Recently, Elton John has spoken openly about his fears about deathsaying he doesn’t know how much time he has left. The 77-year-old singer of “Rocketman” and other unrepeatable hits admitted, among other things, that his children are worried about his age. It is known that the famous artist has faced many health problems over the years. He has been operated on for prostate cancer and now has serious problems with his vision as well.
