Luciana Curtis case: Police find charred car and investigate whether it belongs to the model

The kidnapping of model Luciana Curtis and her family is being investigated by the São Paulo Civil Police.

The Brazilian top model, her husband and daughter have already been released and are doing well. They were victims of a sudden kidnapping last Thursday night (28).

The police informed the reporter, via press office, that they located a charred car this Friday (29) in Vila Penteado, north of the capital of São Paulo.

“Expert examinations were requested to confirm whether it was the car stolen from the victims on the day of the crime”, says the note from the Public Security Secretariat. According to the SSP, the case is with the Anti-Kidnapping Division of the Department of Strategic Police Operations (Dope).

“Dope continues with investigations to identify and arrest those responsible. Other details will be preserved to guarantee the autonomy of police work”, states the statement.

Luciana Curtis, 47 years old, is married to photographer Henrique Gendre, with whom she has two daughters. The couple and their eldest daughter, aged 14, were kidnapped on Thursday night (28), but released the same day.

Daughter of a Brazilian and a British man, the supermodel had a successful career in the 1990s and 2000s.

In the early 2000s, he became the face of Revlon. At the time, the contract was worth millions and allowed her to buy an apartment in Manhattan.

“We were considering moving to a bigger house, but no other place has as much diversity as New York. I don’t want Cora and Dahlia [filhas] attend a white-only educational institution. Here, they have contact with all creeds, colors and classes. They are growing up with an open mind to understand the world”, he said in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

Luciana has also represented brands such as L’Oreal and modeled for brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Arden B., Harrods and H&M, as well as in several editions of São Paulo Fashion Week.
