Meghan Markle, 43, will make her return to public life in style in early 2025, according to Page Six.
The Duchess of Sussex has barely been seen in recent months as she prepares her new products. She will launch her Netflix show centered around cooking, gardening and entertainment in early 2025.
Along with this will come the launch of her lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard. The product list includes jellies, jams, peanut butter, candles, tablecloths, cups and recipe books. She also included makeup, skin and hair care, and fragrances in the registry.
According to Page Six, Markle wants to follow in the footsteps of American presenter and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart with her Netflix show. Videos from her brand showed her in the kitchen of a stunning Montecito, California, estate.
At 83, Stewart has a hit documentary on Netflix based on her life. A friend of the duchess commented to the portal: “Martha’s documentary was celebrated, but what Meghan and Prince Harry do is ridiculed. They are in two separate universes when it comes to public opinion.”
Everything occurs amid speculation that the brand’s development was not going well, according to the portal. So far it has been promoted with baskets of homemade jam sent to Markle’s famous friends such as Kris Jenner, Chrissy Teigen and actress Abigail Spencer.
The brand was announced to great fanfare in March, but according to Page Six, the duchess has not worked with local factories or jam producers near her Southern California home, raising questions about who is on the team behind the products.
Markle has been working with people outside the Archewell Foundation, which she and her husband, Prince Harry, created, to get the brand up and running — although some employees are involved, sources told the outlet.
“As far as Meghan being quiet, she has been behind the scenes working on her entrepreneurial efforts,” a source told Page Six, “Both the Netflix project and her brand will launch on the same schedule in the New Year.”
“It’s going to be a good year for Meghan specifically, she spent most of the year working behind the scenes to launch a project in the early months of 2025.”
Markle’s TV show celebrates “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship,” according to Netflix. It was filmed in California, at the home of Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, philanthropists who are constant figures on the social scene in the city of Montecito.
Cooking has always been on the Duchess of Sussex’s radar — she published a cookbook to raise funds for fire survivors while living in the United Kingdom — and earlier this month she joined Afghan women at a holiday dinner in California.
