Balenciaga never ceases to surprise – not very pleasantly – with its creations. Social media users divided over ‘The Zero’
The well-known fashion house, Balenciaga, has launched its new footwear which is highly discussed and dividing the internet.
Balenciaga is not known for its practical shoes but the “zero shoes” are on another… level.
The creative director of the house, Demna Gvasalia presented his collection for autumn 2024 and the shoe that stood out is a type of slipper, called “The Zero».
It is essentially a sole which leaves the whole foot uncovered, except for the big toe. Their price, 450 US dollars and are entirely made of EVA foam.

Images of the shoes are making the rounds online and users are divided. Some say that they look comfortable while others wonder how anyone can get around with them as they are like one walks barefootwhile even wearing socks, as another user wonders, these will get dirty.

Many also estimate that the Balenciaga is doing some social experiment to see if the world is disposed to spend large sums of money on ugly, uncomfortable shoes simply because a big house makes them…
