His one move Ryan Reynoldsinspired by Christmas, brought many smiles to the people of Wrexham during his visit to North Wales. The famous actor traveled to the Welsh city along with other Hollywood stars to watch his football team in a match that ended 2-2 against Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon.

The Canadian star, who shares Wrexham FC with actor and screenwriter Rob McElhenney, experienced the intensity of the game alongside Channing Tatum, who he worked with in the recent ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. Also in attendance were Brandon Sklenar, who starred alongside his wife, Blake Lively, in the romantic drama It Ends With Us, and Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong.

The night before ‘Deadpool’ visited a traditional pub in the city center where he decided to do a spontaneous act of generosity by offering a round of drinks to everyone present. He also said the pub “can bring in another hundred” to take advantage of the move.

In a video released on social media, the actor took the microphone and with a smile wished the patrons: “If I don’t come to see you tonight at your houses, I want to wish you a happy holiday.” He also humorously explained that he couldn’t stay long because he wanted to make the most of his “time off” away from his children.

The famous stars who acquired the North Wales football club in 2021 for $2.5 million, have taken charge of the club’s promotion from the fifth tier of English football. The team’s reputation has also skyrocketed thanks to the documentary “Welcome to Wrexham” which was shot with the same producers, according to the AP.

Following the draw with Cambridge, Wrexham sit in third place in League One, just two points off the top, leaving open the possibility of an impressive run of form.
