Tom Hanks’ appearance on Saturday Night Live’s Five-Timers Club segment this weekend has millions of his fans worried.

Many viewers noticed the 68-year-old star’s hands were shaking and social media comments poured in. One user commented under a promotional post on SNL’s official Instagram: “Are Ton Hanks hands shaking?” Another user, Lara, wrote: “I noticed that too!!! And now I’m worried.”

Another mentioned that “he was on the Graham Norton show a while back and I noticed it there too…”. “Considering it’s almost 70! Yes, old people’s hands tend to shake a bit,” said another comment.

Just a few weeks earlier, according to the DailyMail, the Oscar-winning actor had stated that he “feels as good now, if not better, than he did in his 30s.”

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in November, Hanks said: “Look, I’m 68 years old, the hardest thing for us was when we were playing at 35. That’s when your metabolism stops, gravity starts to knock you down, your bones start to wear down, you stand differently — I think I’m in better shape now,” he admitted.

Responding to the comment that he looks better than ever, the actor said, “You know why? Since my kids are grown, I get decent exercise and can eat right. You can’t do that when you’re 35.”

This isn’t the first time fans have expressed concern about Hanks’ shaky hands. In June 2022, the same phenomenon had caused the concern of a doctor, who said that it might be an early symptom of Parkinson’s.

Hanks, in the promotion of Baz Luhrmann’s film “Elvis” appeared unable to control his shaking right hand while holding a microphone.

Dr. Stewart Fisher, a Yale physician with 4 years of experience in emergency medicine, noted that Hanks’ tremors could be an early sign of the degenerative disease.

“Parkinson’s is the first thing most doctors will think of,” he said, adding that Hanks may have already seen a neurologist.
