A few words about the project

In their fifteenth play, Ioli Andreadis and Aris Asproulis dig deep into the soul of the genius and pioneering musician, composer and performer Manolis Chiotis, creating an original theatrical story based on the life of the great artist, which attempts to communicate directly with the heart of the lover, the betrayed, the abandoned or the melancholic listener, healing her from the pain of the human condition.

On a magical stage, in a world between reality and dream, Manolis Chiotis and the people close to his life, speak in the first singular. They confess. No rumours. No false stories. They profess the core of the ethos and the universe that this great creator formed. A core marked by loss, pain, envy, hard work, but also success, recognition, inspiration, love, daring, pioneering, honesty and humanity.

The work follows the life of Manolis Chiotis from birth to his death, with key milestones and great moments in his artistic career, but also in his personal life, where, in private, man’s contact with the divine and the if each man took and gave that portion of love for which he was destined.

It is a dive into the soul of the universal and eternal Manolis Chiotis. There, where real and theatrical time are entwined, the voices of the living and the dead ring out equally and people’s dreams know no end.

The work is released by Kappa Publishing. Foreword by the son of Manolis Chiotis, Diamantis Chiotis.
