From Today Monday 13 October re -put into application Ring to center her Athens. The restrictions do not apply to the avenues and roads located on the limits of the small ring, while the violation of the ring carries fines of 100 euros.

Ring Areas:

Avenues and streets: Alexandra, Zaharov, Mesogeion, Fidippidou, Michalakopoulou, Sp. Frantzi, Andr. Syngrou, Hamosterna, Piraeus, Sacred Way, Constantinople, Achilleos, Karaiskaki Square, Karolou, Marni, October 28th (Patissia), and Alexandra L.

The days and hours The power of these restrictive measures are as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 20:00
  • Friday: 07:00 – 15:00
  • Saturdays, Sundays, official holidays and days of strike in public transport, measures do not apply.

Traffic IX and private trucks:

Rotation is permitted based on single or even last digit plate for vehicles up to 2.2 tonnes.

Exceptions

They are exempt from the restrictions of vehicles with special licenses from the Attica Traffic Directorate, in accordance with the Joint Ministerial Decision No. 195948 (07/10.10.2024, Government Gazette 5627, vol. B).

Holders can issue a special signal for exceptional circulation through the digital gate gov.gr, in print or electronic form.

In particular, the signal concerns:

Pure electric vehicles and hybrid electric, gas and gas vehicles.

Euro 6 cars (except the technologies above), with CO₂ emissions below 120g/km (according to NEDC), sorted up to 31.12.2020.

EURO 6 cars with Co₂ emissions below 145g/km (according to WLTP), classified from 01.01.2021 onwards.

Residents

Vehicles belonging to permanent residents within the small ring have special entrance -exit zones and receive a special card from the relevant departments of the Municipality of Athens.
