Year in and year out, many people resort to superstitions to attract good energy for the year that begins. With celebrities this is no different. In conversation with the F5they tell you more about the favorite rituals at New Year’s Eve.

Actress Marina Ruy Barbosa says she is a fan of white lingerie – here’s a tip: given the girl’s past history, it’s been working. Actor Bruno Fagundes prefers to spend New Year’s Eve at the beach, where he performs the traditional ritual of jumping seven waves, thinking about good things.

The actor and rapper Xamã eats pomegranate and keeps the seed in his wallet all year round, to attract money — someone who also tends to do this, at least used to, until a few years ago — is the singer Nana Caymmi. “Is it working? I’ve already bought two apartments like this”, he once said.

Actress Mara Carvalho pays tribute to her father. “I like to drink a good champagne, the first toast being dedicated to him who has passed away. Then, I throw the rest into the sea or a potted plant thinking about him.”

Tony Ramos likes to pray when he gathers his family, at midnight on December 31st. It is the opposite extreme of presenter Claudete Troiano who has not one, but some rituals to attract good things on New Year’s Eve. Among them, eat lentils and grapes.

Doctor and ex-BBB Amanda Meirelles vetoes the consumption of chickens at New Year’s Eve dinner because they “scratch backwards”. Check out the photo gallery above for more testimonials from celebrities.
