Ana Maria Braga took advantage of the last day of 2024 to share good news with her followers on social media. This Tuesday (31), the presenter published a video revealing the remission of the cancer for which she was undergoing treatment.
In 2020, the Globo presenter was diagnosed with lung cancer for the third time and later revealed that the tumor was already metastatic, that is, it was in other organs of the body.
Ana Maria said she received the news of remission (when the cancer is no longer detected by any test) from her doctor during a periodic visit. “It was such good news that I received now, two weeks ago, from Doctor Buzayde. I do a review… I think everyone who has had cancer has periodic reviews and this was a five-yearly review, every 5 years. […] Now I have been freed from my other revisions. I’m completely discharged”, began the presenter.
“It was that cancer that I had a 10% chance of [de sobreviver] five years ago. It was found that, as of now, I am in remission from cancer. I no longer have any possibilities — none at all, because we don’t know, right? But, medically, I have no chance, nor any chance, of the cancer returning,” he explained.
“I wanted to share it with you, because this news says: ‘Wow, we’re alive’. And it’s great that we’re alive. I wanted to share it because everything in my life I say very sincerely. I tell things very truthfully. If there is I say bad news. When I have great news, I won’t stop sharing it”, he added.
The presenter of Mais Você ended the video by thanking everyone for the prayers, affection and strength she received. He wished everyone a year of peace, health, prosperity, work and love.
