With fun, a positive mood and a wish that the new year will bring us everything that the previous one deprived us of, Athens welcomes 2025 with unique festive events and shows with free entry, both in Syntagma Square and in the Areos Field.
The Municipality of Athens welcomes us…to the “Roof of Time” in Syntagma Square
The celebration on New Year’s Eve will take place at the Syntagma, where the mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, together with artists who will participate in the celebration, will count down the change of time.
This year, the established New Year’s event of the city brings to its heart a musical theater multi-spectacle, the “Terrace of Time”, signed by Phoebus Delivorias.
The 2025 reception event with a start time of 22:00 is accessible to everyone, with a parallel performance in Greek Sign Language by the interpreter Sofia Robolis and will be broadcast via livestreaming from the official page of the Municipality of Athens on Facebook (@cityofathensofficial) and the his official YouTube channel.
The beloved artist, together with Natassa Bofiliou, Martha Frintzilas and Thanasis Alevras, presents an original show that, through songs, dances and humorous moments, will take us on a journey through the history of Athens, from 1945 to 2025.
The big event for New Year’s Eve is opened musically by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, creating the ideal introduction to the festive evening. Immediately after the baton, Laternativ take over for the first big party of the year.
The successful radio duo of EnLefko 87.7, Stavros Dioskouridis and Panagiotis Menegos, comes with a dynamic dj set that will keep the rhythm alive in the early hours of the new year.
“Football” by “Melisses” and Christos Mastoras in the Field of Areos for the Region of Attica
With a brilliant concert of favorite songs by Christos Mastoras and the “Bees” he makes a “football” in 2025, in the Christmas Village of the Attica Region in the Field of Areos.
On the night of the eve, at 11.00 p.m., the band, with the best-known hits, will provide rhythm, fun and optimism, so that we can all welcome the new year together, like a big company, states the Region of Attica in its announcement.
The celebratory concert also has a charitable character, as the performers donate their fees to regional structures for the needs of vulnerable groups.
The glamorous evening will be presented by Themis Georgantas, while Zaf and ONEMANSHOW will also appear on stage.
The big outdoor party will continue with music from MAD RADIO 106.2, until the early hours of the new year.
