Ana Paula Minerato waited until the last day of 2024 to return to social media, exactly one month after the controversy involving racist insults against the singer Ananda. The model and influencer acknowledged that she was going through a difficult period and opened up about the moment. She stated that the year was full of “a lot of learning” and highlighted an important lesson: “Be careful with your choices.”
Minerato also apologized to the people he disappointed. “I apologize to those I disappointed, especially for comments resulting from provocations: human relationships are complicated when we make wrong choices,” he commented. “We make renunciations, and these can be overshadowed by our thoughtless human impulses. May 2025 come full of light, peace and positive energies!”, he concluded.
At the end of November, an audio in which Ana Paula Minerato made racist comments was leaked onto the internet. In the recording, the model criticized Ananda, who was allegedly involved with KT Gomez, Ana Paula’s ex-boyfriend. The controversy resulted in the model being fired from the Band and her leaving her position as muse at the Gaviões da Fiel samba school.
The repercussion was great, and Minerato apologized to Ananda during a live broadcast. She justified the attacks by claiming that she was in an abusive relationship with KT and that she had been a victim of the rapper cheating on the singer. However, both denied any romantic involvement.
Ananda registered a police report at the Police Station for Racial Crimes and Intolerance Offenses (Decradi), in Rio de Janeiro, classifying the case as racism.
