Thiago Nigro, who introduces himself as Primo Rico, caused outrage on social media by showing details of the miscarriage suffered by his wife, fitness influencer Maíra Cardi.
The two were expecting their first child together, but on January 2, the couple announced that Maíra had a miscarriage and posted the recording of the doctor’s appointment on TikTok. This Saturday (4), the finance influencer published a video of the supposed fetus when talking about what happened.
The publication had repercussions on social media, and internet users were uncomfortable with the exposure of the moment, later deleted by Thiago. Comedian Dani Calabresa took a stance on the subject and said she missed the time when the limits of humor and common sense were discussed.
“I don’t know how to differentiate the need to disclose information or to share something intimate, shocking and traumatizing. Let’s go underground in the well hand in hand.”
In the recording, he brings the camera closer to the cell phone and displays details of the fetus. “I already had little arms, little fingers…”, said the influencer. Profiles on social media criticized Thiago for sharing the content on the media.
“Imagine your wife has just suffered a miscarriage, a sensitive moment of great pain, and you film the fetus, make a caption and choose a sad song to post and get likes”, wrote a user who identifies herself as Fábia Souza. Other internet users stated that the attitude went beyond limits.
“Thiago Nigro posting a photo of Maíra Cardi’s dead fetus on the bathroom floor. What’s going on in these people’s heads?”, commented the profile @ocirurgiao. “Thiago Nigro publicizing a fetus on his social network, complete with subtitles and soundtrack, is the most decadent symptom of this spectacle culture”, said the profile @oantonioni_.
“Not even ‘Black Mirror’ in its biggest ‘predictions’ could imagine something so macabre,” said user @nrlfilho.
In a statement, the influencer lamented the loss and stated that he and Maíra are going through a test of faith.
“Putting my head back together, I see that I’ve had a lot of reflections, but I’ll keep them to myself. Thank you for your brief stay here, son.”
