Winner in the category of Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Film at the 2025 Golden Globes, Demi Moore made a point of meeting Fernanda Torres during the dinner at one of Hollywood’s most popular awards shows. The protagonist of “A Substância” praised the Brazilian for her performance in the film “I’m Still Here” and for winning Best Drama Actress.
The moment was recorded and shared by Selton Mello. “Demi Moore, winner of Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, made a point of coming and giving Nanda a hug. What an unforgettable night,” wrote the actor.
In the images, Demi appears hugging Fernanda and saying: “I hope you don’t mind that I asked for your number.” Fernanda replied elegantly: “It would be an honor.” Soon after, Demi said that she wanted the contact of Eunice Paiva’s interpreter to personally congratulate her on her performance in Walter Salles’ film: “I congratulate you very, very much.”
Fernanda, in turn, returned the compliments and highlighted Demi’s achievement for her performance in “A Substância”. She also commented on the American actress’ emotional speech. “What you said on stage was so beautiful. Congratulations”, commented the Brazilian.
During her speech, Demi shared a touching reflection as she recalled a conversation with a Hollywood producer 30 years ago: “He said I was a popcorn movie actress, and at the time, I interpreted that to mean I didn’t have the right to achieve something more. That I could make successful films and make a lot of money, but I couldn’t be recognized… and I believed that.”
She finished with a message: “Know that you will never be enough, but you can understand your worth if you simply put aside the measuring stick.”
