Sérgio Marone mocks Mario Frias after criticizing Fernanda Torres: ‘It’s hard to live with failure in all areas of activity’

Sergio Marone used social media to mock federal deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP) after criticizing the 2025 Golden Globe Best Drama Actress award won by Fernanda Torres. Jair Bolsonaro’s former Secretary of Culture called the Brazilian’s victory “self-flattery by left-wing activists” and accused the film “I’m Still Here” of being a “piece of fiction and misinformation.”

Several internet users did not forgive Mario Frias, and Sergio Marone decided to join the controversy. The presenter published a scene of the politician acting in the soap opera “Os Mutantes: Caminhos do Coração” (2008), from Record, where he appears being attacked by a person with superpowers. “It must be hard to live with a lack of talent and failure in all areas of activity,” Marone wrote in the caption.

Many followers commented on the post on . “What a shame!” wrote another. A third added: “He lacks talent, intelligence… He’s not good at anything he’s set out to do to date.”

Other internet users, however, came to Frias’ defense and criticized Marone: “Calm down, Marlon Brando. You’re also a terrible actor, only on the left”, highlighted one follower. “No talent as an actor, excellent federal deputy! You are no talent as an actor and also a presenter”, pointed out another.
