Several Hollywood artists had their homes affected by the mega fire that has hit Los Angeles since Tuesday afternoon (7).

Ben Affleck had to evacuate his mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood and fled to the home of his ex, Jennifer Garner, mother of his three children. She also lives in Los Angeles, but in an area that is safe from the fire. The information is from TMZ.

Another famous couple affected by the tragedy was Adam Brody and Leighton Meester. The actor, famous for his recent role as Rabbi Noah in “Nobody Wants” (Netflix), had his mansion completely devastated by fire. Images obtained by TMZ show the ceiling collapsing and the mansion being engulfed in flames. The couple bought the house for US$6.5 million (about R$40 million) in 2019.

The Palisades neighborhood, where several celebrities live, is one of the most affected by the flames. Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Reese Witherspoon, for example, also live there. Their situation is not known at this time.

Maria Shriver, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife, shared shocking images on social media. “It’s unbelievable, devastating. Everything is gone. Our neighborhood, our restaurants. Our friends lost everything. We had to evacuate our house, but we are safe. But a lot of people lost everything,” the actress wrote.

Songwriter Diane Warren also reported losing the beach house she had owned for 30 years. “This is the last photo I took of my beach house. I had this house for 30 years. It was lost in the fire last night,” he wrote.

“There’s a rainbow in the photo, which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all the creatures that have been affected by this tragedy. The animals are safe, which is the most important thing. Take care everyone.”

FIRE LEFT FIVE DEAD

Three regions of Los Angeles went up in flames on Tuesday (7), with fires that spread quickly due to strong winds, leaving a trail of destruction to thousands of homes and structures. Local police confirmed at least five deaths.

The National Weather Service predicts the ongoing wind storm, with gusts of up to 100 mph, will be the most destructive to hit Los Angeles County since 2011.

The initial cause of the fire is still unknown, but the strong, dry and warm winter winds, known as Santa Ana, helped it spread easily. The fire threatens the neighboring regions of Santa Monica and Malibu.
