After deleting the comment she had left on a post by Fernanda Torres, Carolina Dieckmann spoke out on her social networks this Wednesday (9). The Golden Globe-winning actress captured the city of Los Angeles, which is facing devastating fires.
Fernanda’s publication showed the red sky of the city filled with smoke. “From my window, I see Los Angeles in flames [em chamas]”, wrote the actress, who is in the city for the film awards season.
”Well, it could only be burning with love for you”, Dieckmann wrote in the comments. The message was criticized by internet users due to the severity of the fire, which left people dead and injured. Hollywood celebrities lost their homes.
A few hours later, the actress spoke out on her social media. “I just deleted a completely loving comment on Fernanda Torres’ post because of malicious interpretations… how sad to have to explain anything related to affection, especially at a time when art in Brazil is being historically recognized through Nanda’s work and so many dear friends”’, she wrote.
Carolina said that the situation is serious and deserves to be regretted: “What is happening in Los Angeles is so serious that there is nothing to do but regret.”
She explained why she decided to delete the post: “So that nothing is more important than respect for what is happening. There is no room for internet nitpicking at a serious time like this.”
“Who knows, talking about love would be a cure in itself. Maybe one day it will be”, added the actress.
