“I was kind of uncomfortable while we were talking because I knew my neighborhood was on fire, so I thought, ‘Is my place still there?’ But when I got home, sure enough, it wasn’t there,” he said.

Gibson lived there for 15 years. “It’s obviously devastating. It’s emotional. My stuff is all in ashes.”

Paris Hilton, 43, also showed the state of her mansion after the fire destroyed everything. The R$51 million property was completely destroyed by the fire.

“When I saw the news I was shocked. It feels like my heart shattered into millions of pieces,” she wrote in the caption of the images. The mansion was on the beach in Malibu.

Another famous couple affected by the tragedy was Adam Brody and Leighton Meester. The actor, famous for his recent role as Rabbi Noah in “Nobody Wants” (Netflix), had his mansion completely devastated by fire. Images obtained by TMZ show the ceiling collapsing and the mansion being engulfed in flames. The couple bought the house for US$6.5 million (about R$40 million) in 2019.

The death toll from the fires in Los Angeles, California, reached 24 this Sunday (12), said local authorities, who warned of the risk of the flames advancing again due to new gusts of wind.

Fires continue to ravage the second-largest city in the United States for the seventh day in a row, reducing entire communities to ashes and leaving thousands homeless.
