BBB 25: ‘There are questions that have to be asked’, says Gil do Vigor about the new BBB Chat

Upon leaving the house where they are confined, the first pair of people eliminated from BBB 25 will soon come across a familiar face: Gil do Vigor. The economist, who made an emblematic appearance on BBB 21 and became a commentator on Mais Você, takes over Bate-Papo BBB this year alongside Ceci Ribeiro.

This is a bet by Globo to boost the program. The attraction was a success under the command of Ana Clara, also ex-BBB and knowledgeable about the format, due to the presenter’s unspoken manner, who used to answer the questions that the public would like her to ask and even give a little nudge to those who she thought were deserved it.

Since the young woman was pulled into other programs in the BBB ecosystem (first A Elimination and now Big Show), other attempts were made. Last year, Thais Fersoza was heavily criticized on social media for not satisfying the public’s desire for answers and for treating some eliminated people more affectionately. His partner, Ed Gama, had more of a role as a humorous safety valve in moments of tension.

The public has been excited about the new duo, who claim that they will not “soap” or “popcorn”, to use terms that became popular on the program. “You know me, people, you know how I am. That’s how I am: sincere”, says Gil do Vigor to F5.

“I don’t like to hurt anyone, it’s not the role, but there are questions that have to be asked”, continues the ex-BBB, who, however, says he won’t make anyone upset during the program: “I think Bate- Chat is not meant to attack anyone, humiliate anyone, offend anyone.”

According to him, the idea of ​​the program is to show the participant things that he did not have the opportunity to see when he was confined, so that he has a more complete picture of the situations. “So people can reflect on what was good and what maybe wasn’t so good,” he comments. “I think asking these questions [mais duras] and reflection is an important moment even for them, so they can explain themselves.”

“If you have to ask, you have to ask. If you have to show, you have to show. With great respect, with great care, but that’s life, understand?”, he says. “Everything can be asked, everything can be discussed, with respect. Now I have my own way, right? Ask that question and say ‘Brasiiillll’ and everything is fine.”

Ceci Ribeiro, in turn, says she is excited about her program partner. “If I were to dream about who I would like… I don’t even have the creativity to have a dream like that”, he says. “Gil is not only one of the most iconic participants in the program’s history, but he is a guy who understands everything from every season.”

She also argues that anything can be asked, as long as there is no disrespect to the person eliminated. “People arrive very nervous, right? We have the responsibility of knowing how to satisfy the public’s curiosity, but also understand how nervous this person gets there”, he assesses. “Then we’ll talk nicely and everything will be fine.”

The first BBB Chat of the season will air after this Tuesday’s edition of the program, around midnight on Wednesday (22). The attraction is broadcast live on the reality show’s official website and on Globoplay.
