Presenter Fausto Silva, 74, was discharged on Friday (24) after completing treatment for an infection. The information was released through an official note from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.
“Fausto Silva has completed his treatment to treat an infection and is already at home, recovered and well,” announces the statement issued by the medical advisory.
Luciana Cardoso, host’s wife, had anticipated last Wednesday (22) that the artist was finalizing the treatment and returning home soon. It was not specified how long he was hospitalized. According to the hospital staff, he “has been treating an infection since December.”
In February 2024, Faustão underwent a kidney transplant after the aggravation of a chronic kidney disease and underwent a embolization to resolve lymphatic issues that could be delaying the recovery of the transplanted organ. He had already undergone a heart transplant in August 2023.
The presenter has been away from television since May 2023, when he left the band. His last participation was in December 2024, in a message recorded for the program “Domingão com Huck”, in which he honored his daughter, Lara Silva.
He was also seen in a Christmas photo published by his son João Guilherme Silva, alongside his family.
