BBB 25: Maike’s cousin clarifies alleged ‘external issue’ with Diego Hypolito

Brandonn Almeida, swimmer for the Brazilian team and cousin of Maike, from BBB 25, clarified whether there is an “external issue” motivating the feud between the duo and Diego and Daniele Hypolito. Rumors arose on social media after the brothers were targeted by their friends in more than one dynamic on the program.

Maike and Brandonn are cousins ​​and have a close relationship. The brother already lived with the swimmer for three years. On social media, a theory emerged that the issue with Diego was related to issues outside the house, involving the former gymnast’s political position.

To the F5Brandonn said that he finds some theories “funny”, but others scare him a little, and explains that he does know the athlete: “We are two gay men within the sports world. We were together at the 2015 Pan-American Games and the Rio 2016 Olympics. We have friends in common and, therefore, we were already close.”

However, he says that there is no friction between the two: “There is nothing that could tend the boys to have bitter feelings or hurt feelings within the house.”

“Diego is an idol, he is a reference for national and international sport, he is an Olympic medalist, there is no way not to be a fan of an athlete of this level”, he said. However, in the game, things are different: “What’s going on there is exclusively a matter of coexistence. Just because you admire a public figure doesn’t mean you’re going to be friends.”

The swimmer commented on Maike’s cautious game: “Allied with his way of being.” “I think that, until now, he has maintained a more neutral and analytical stance and is also getting used to it,” he said, adding that, however, it is time for the pair to wake up.

“I think it’s time for him to start positioning himself and understand more the behavior of the other participants. It’s essential for them to leave their comfort zone and act more strategically and, consequently, captivate the public”, he added.

He also believes that the fact that Maike was an athlete can help him in the game: “We were taught, since we were little, to deal with pressure and to have to perform at the right time. The fact that he was a swimmer will help him in this question and in the context of the house with the emotional control that he will have to have”.

Brandonn also said that, like his cousin, he would also like to join a BBB cast. “It would be a dream come true. I’ve imagined myself there since I was a child. I’m a huge fan of the program and have always admired the intensity of the game and would like to have the opportunity to show who I am to the public.”
