The actress had already starred Maria Magdalene in an exclusively female version of ‘Superstar’ In 2020, with Morgan James taking on the role of Jesus. The news of the casting divided the fans, with some shattering a woman’s choice for that role, and there were some who were happy with the new approach to the project.
