Whindersson Nunes is internal in a psychiatric clinic

Whindersson Nunes, 30, has been hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic in the interior of São Paulo for about a week.

Non Stop Produções, an office that manages the humorist’s career, confirmed the hospitalization via social networks on Thursday (20).

According to the office’s statement, the artist “interned for his own decision and with medical follow -up.” The note does not make clear what Whindersson is dealing, but the humorist has a history of depression and anxiety.

“The reason for hospitalization is the care of your health, seeking proper treatment for your well-being. He is very well, happy with his evolution and will soon be back on stage doing what he loves most,” says the statement .

Whindersson has already spoken publicly about his battle against anxiety and depression. The humorist also lost two stillborn children, one in 2021 and one in 2023.

In May last year, the artist spoke on social networks that he had a depressed crisis on stage during a humor show.

“First time depression made me not feel good about a microphone in hand was today, but I learned one more. When doing something, do why you want, not why you are angry,” he wrote.

In 2023, in an interview with Marcelo Tas, he talked about the fight against the disease and said the sport helped him control the symptoms.

“It is back and forth. You are well for a long time, then comes a business that you do not know what is happening. Boxe controlled me mentally,” he said.
