For 20 years, Luciana Gimenez, 55, had first paraded by Vai-Vai, a school that always took in the heart. This year, after an eight seasons without samba, the host will return to the association at the godmother’s godmother’s post at Saturday’s last parade (1st).

“I am extremely honored and thrilled. My relationship with the school has always been a lot of affection and respect, and receiving this invitation again is like coming home,” he says. “The expectation is huge, I want to return all the love of the community with a lot of dedication and energy on the avenue.”

In 2025, the association will pay tribute to José Celso Martinez Correa, Zé Celso (1937-2023), an icon of Brazilian theater and culture. The presenter says that her fantasy will be a mix between tradition and modernity, with details that refer to the history of the honoree.

“As for the size, I can say that it will be a balanced combination that respects the essence of carnival and ensures comfort so I can samba with all the energy,” he says. Through social networks, she has already released some spoilers, such as the silver sandal that will leave her with 1.92 m.

Luciana’s last official parade was in 2017 for Grande Rio. Since then, a lot happened, among them a serious accident that made her break her leg in four places. It was in Aspen, in the United States, in 2023, after a fall in skiing.

Since then, the model says she has begun to be afraid of showing her body and finding herself less beautiful. Therefore, he took care of the physique – but also of mental health – before making the decision to show the body again in the revelry.

“At that time, I underwent emergency surgery and intense rehabilitation. Since then, I have incorporated specific exercises for strengthening and physiotherapy into my routine to ensure a complete recovery. I recently broke my little toe, which required additional care,” he reinforces.

“The recovery process was not only physical, but also mental. I worked my self -esteem and self -confidence, understanding that each brand tells a story of overcoming. Today, I feel stronger and safe, ready to celebrate my body and my trajectory on the avenue,” he adds.

To stay firm in focus, Luciana put her nutritionist to live inside her own home. The idea was not to get out of the diet at any time. A tactic to be “in the best possible shape” she wants so much to show. It also intensified samba classes.

But with so much dedication, does time left for love? According to her, the moment is to enjoy the singleness. “My priority at the moment is to enjoy every moment of this unique experience that is Carnival. If someone special comes up, it will be welcome, but I am fully satisfied enjoying the revelry without commitments,” he says.
