Christiane Torloni, 68, used social networks to make an outburst after being a victim of urban violence in Rio de Janeiro. The actress reported being robbed on Tuesday (4) and regretted the fact that the city had such little security.
“I decided to stay in Rio de Janeiro so I could enjoy this amazing, wonderful city. City to which so many people come looking to enjoy Carnival a little. But it is a city that is relentlessly hostage to banditry,” he said. “It’s sad, man.”
“You go out to take a bicycle ride in one of the most expensive regions of Rio de Janeiro, IPTU up there, people paying tax tax. You go on the street, turn your bike and almost die,” he said. “You get a meager thread around your neck.”
Torloni said the necklace that was taken was not valuable. “It’s nothing, I just had emotional value, because it was my son who gave me,” he explained.
The actress also said that she no longer intends to leave home in the coming days. “You come home scared and loving and pass the rest of the carnival locked at home, despite being in a beautiful place, seeing the world outside, but with fear,” he lamented.
“We fought for so much, man, democracy, social justice, that is there, done Carolina watching the carnival pass through the window, the band pass the window, but afraid to go out on the street,” he added.
She also mocked those responsible for the city’s public safety. “Thank you, Rio de Janeiro City Hall. Thank you for this present security,” he said.
