The Salvador Carnival of 2025 officially arrived at the end. With his traditional “Ashgrows”, Carlinhos Brown led the Momesca Saideira on the morning of Ash Wednesday (5) in the Barra-Ondina circuit.
One of the attractions was Rapercussion, a South Korean music group invited by Brown, who had already performed on Saulo Fernandes’s trio during Carnival.
“But when I saw you playing, I saw that human exchange and that the world converges and speaks,” Brown told Rapercussion. “And today, you help to reaffilize the world to understand that the world is made of one culture, that the race is human and that everyone can use what is created,” Brown told South Koreans during the trawler.
“Thank you, great master Carlinhos Brown! And thank you, Brazil!”, Thanks the South Korean group, in Portuguese, on social networks.
Also invited by Carlinhos Brown, they performed guitarist Armandinho and the percussion band Fé-Minina, formed only by women.
The trawler also had the trios of Leo Santana, the first to arrive, and that of Bahian country singer Danniel Vieira.
The drag, which aims to fraternize with those who worked during the carnival, was started with the Padê ceremony, held by Carlinhos Brown.
Cicerone of the opening of the carnival, Brown also made the same ceremony on February 27, before the revelry started in Campo Grande. The Padê is a traditional ceremony of African matrix religions to open paths, using popcorn, corn and gunpowder.
