Singer Shawn Mendes, 23, spoke on his Twitter about the end of his relationship with fellow singer Camila Cabello, 25. In a video, he told how he feels after the end of the relationship after about two years together.
“I believe this is the kind of reality I’m getting used to. I’m alone. I feel like I’m finally alone now, and I hate it. This is my reality, you know?” Mendes said in the video.
Earlier, the singer had also vented about his loneliness. “Don’t you realize that when you’re breaking up with someone you like, you think ‘is this the right thing?’ You don’t touch all the shit that comes after that. Who do I call when I have a panic attack, or when I’m nervous or something like that, you know?” he said.
Earlier this month, Camila Cabello also spoke about the end of the relationship with Shawn Mendes. In an interview with Zane Lowe, the Cuban singer commented on her life.
“As I get older, priorities change. And I feel like it was that way for both of us. [eu e Shawn]”, he explained in the interview broadcast by the Apple Music platform.
She made it clear that she has no regrets about her ex, and that she still likes the musician, but she is at another point in her life.
“We started dating very young, and it’s like we’re learning to be healthy adults,” the singer said.
END OF RELATIONSHIP
The couple announced the end of their relationship in a statement released on their social networks on November 17.
“Hello everyone. We decided to end our love relationship, but our love for each other as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We appreciate everyone’s support from the beginning and into the future. .Camila and Shawn,” the statement read.
Cabello and Mendes took up the relationship in September 2019, after several speculations that they would be in a relationship. In 2020, they decided to spend the quarantine imposed by the coronavirus together, which inspired the singer to compose new songs.
