After receiving the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, Titan guitarist Tony Bellotto, 64, used social networks to thank for the affection messages he has been receiving and his wife, actress Malu Mader, 58, with whom she has lived since 1990.
“I thank the messages of support and affection, not only here on Instagram, but of all who are sending me and saying words of comfort, wisdom and incentive. Friends, family, fans, supporters,” he said in the caption of a photo next to Malu.
He continued: “I also thank the Titans, who do not let the shuttlecock fall on stage. And especially Malu, my beloved, who is always by my side, with a smile on his face,” he added.
In early March, Bellotto said he has pancreatic cancer and will undergo surgery. The musician shared the diagnosis and information about his treatment on a video on social networks.
The guitarist said he would move away from the stage during the treatments, but that the Titans would continue to fulfill his agenda. He was replaced by musician Alexandre de Orio.
The band also issued a note stating that Bellotto discovered the disease by taking a routine exam. “As soon as I recover, I will return to shows and my professional activities,” he said.
