Ronaldinho Gaucho, the ‘King of Random Rounds’, 45 years old; Remember curiosities and memes

“Wizard”. “King of Random Rounds”. Both definitions are often used when the subject in question is Ronaldinho Gaucho – whether for the magic plays on the field, which often bordered the supernatural, either because of their ability to appear in unexpected places in a surprising way, always with that funny smile on their face, since he hanged the showers in 2018.

Since then, Ronaldinho, who is 45 years old on Friday (21), takes advantage of his retirement by running the world in events with little (or none) connection with football. He was at the UN World Conference last November at Azerbaijan – where he was an invitation from the host country’s government, ”he filmed with Mike Tyson and Van Damme, drummed surrounded by women in the Russian Cup final, he learned to make cigars in China … of monotonous, his life has nothing.

A not at all random, however, happened in 2020, when he was arrested in Paraguay, accused of using fake passports. Ronaldinho and his brother, also former player Assis, were detained for almost six months and were released after agreeing with local authorities. In jail, he played ball straight with the other detainees.

To talk about Ronaldinho is also talking about music. Videos in which he appears playing percussion instruments (and also singing) circulate through the nets, even before he launched a hit with Wesley Safadão. In 2016, the two sang together “single again”. Something similar had already happened the year before, when he joined the country duo João Lucas and Marcelo in the clip of “Let’s Drink”. Each year, he increased his repertoire of randomities.

In 2021, he launched the wizard’s troop project, which brought together rap and trap artists, such as Djonga and Collective Recayd Mob. It even appeared in the music video “Rolê Random”, a track inspired by the memes created by netizens. See in the gallery above some of them.
