1980s heartthrob, 72-year-old Mickey Rourke agreed to participate in Celebrity Big Brother-a Big Brother version with celebrities-and his presentation was one of the most talked about to ITV reality, which premiered on Monday (7) on social networks.
Rourke entered the house with a costume in the best cowboy style: jeans, black shirt, red jacket, a pair of blue boots and a black hat, as well as necklaces, rings and long hair.
The difficulty of walking, the tired appearance, the face very different from a few years ago and the lack of initial disposition to interact with the other participants have also caught the attention of fans. Many comments on the web described the actor as “scary” and “strange”, while others did not even recognize the star as “Satanic Heart” (1987).
He also faced much criticism for his actions in the first episode. During his presentation by the duo of presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu, Rourke took Odudu’s hand, turned her, and then pulled her abruptly against her body. Best soon commented, “Watch out, Mickey.”
Rourke kept staring at Odudu to the point that she says, “Stop looking at me!” And when he was instructed to enter the house, he answered her, “I want to be with you.” It was not long before fans of the show started to ask the actor to leave: “The way he went with AJ, I felt so uncomfortable. I hope she’s fine,” wrote a netizen. “It’s best to avoid a bigger problem. Take Mickey Rourke from the show,” said another follower.
Actor of films such as “9 1/2 weeks of love” (1986), “Sin City: The City of Sin” (2005) and “Sin City: The Fatal Lady” (2014), Rourke has always had a close relationship with boxing. In adolescence and youth, he disputed amateur boxing struggles between 1964 and 1973, with 27 fighting and only three losses. Six years later, he began his film career with “1941 – a very crazy war”. About ten years ago, he returned to the ring and won some fights, but soon gave up on the sport.
Rourke suffered several face injuries during his career as a boxer, which led him to need facial reconstruction. The doctors used cartilage from other parts of the body to rebuild their face. He also underwent several less invasive aesthetic procedures, such as laser treatment, facial lifting and Botox application.
