When he discovered the pregnancy of twins, Nadja Haddad, 44, was surprised by the decision -making statement from his departure from Bake Off Brazil. The host led the SBT confectionery reality by seven editions before being dismissed in early 2024.
At first the program had been canceled; Then the station went back and decided to go ahead with the production of season 10. Her contract is for work, and she only released the pregnancy weeks later, when she was already in the 4th month.
“It was by surprise. I was very involved at the time with my pregnancy, but I had not yet announced. And everything fitted because, if it was going to have the season, I would not be able to participate,” she says in an interview with F5. “We usually record in the middle of the year and the forecast of my boys’ birth was for August.”
In addition to Nadja’s departure, chefs Milano and Giuseppe Gerundino were also dismissed at the time (and join her again this year). In their places they were called Fabiana Karla, Carole Crema and André Mifano – that did not last more than an edition.
“Months later they called me saying that I would have a new season and thanked the years I stayed there. It was a news and an impact had a new cast. It was not a choice of mine, but it was a divine order to give me back and live everything I lived.”
MATERNITY
When he married, in 2016, Nadja came across her husband’s will, Danilo Joan, to be a father – algo she always refuted by fears and doubts about motherhood, especially for fear of having to leave work aside, as she always had her career as a priority.
“It was years living these doubts. A point came that my husband no longer wanted to touch the subject anymore. We had a family planning and an in vitro fertilization, but I had a miscarriage. Then I received a word from a pastor in Israel that God wanted me to become pregnant, and everything flowed. I realized that my greatest fear was, in fact, my biggest dream.”
Loss of child
Antonio and José were born on April 28, 2024, premature six months. Two weeks later, Antonio died. Prior to the birth of her children, she was 39 days in absolute rest, and says that the support of faith, pastors, missionaries and maternity psychologists were essential to the couple.
“We decided to face all this desert being resilient and not revolting, but seeking departure through prayer, good doctors and the understanding that each has its own story.”
José was discharged from the hospital in early November, after six months hospitalized.
Bake off
Soon, the recording of the confectionery reality show will begin, and the debut is scheduled for the second half of 2025. The return, after a year of suffering, was unexpected. Nadja says she received a message from one of the executive directors asking if she was coming back.
“I came back to where I never wanted to leave, my heart was in pieces. I was quiet about the invitation and I didn’t tell anyone. For this year, I had nothing in mind or a project, I left in the hand of God, it was a very big surprise and accepted on time. I love and never faced as a job.”
Present a candy program for hours on end during the week demand her self -control so as not to devour participants’ preparations. The option is to take firm at the gym (the interview with F5 It was given inside the condominium gym where she lives in Cajamar, Greater São Paulo).
“It’s a danger because if it’s not well fed, I go out pinching everything. The candy I can’t start because if you give the first fork and like it, I don’t stop. I just be an ant, I love to eat, for me it’s a big event.”
Xuxa and Paquita
Before thinking of being a journalist and having tickets to Band, the extinct Radio Tupi and SBT, Nadja was a dancer and obsessed with the presenter Xuxa. She even tried to be paquita when she was 12, but did not pass the test. Years later, when he was 18, he applied to be the representative of the Capricorn sign on the planet Xuxa. This time, it won the vacancy.
After two years, the contract is over, but the memories were, and some of them were exhibited in Globoplay’s recent documentary “Forever Paquitas”.
“It was a very happy period of my life, I was realizing a childhood dream, working with someone who was my idol as a child, seeing a lot of artist, having fun,” he comments.
The presenter acknowledges that there was pressure and collection so that the dancers had a body regarded as the desirable for the function, but claims to have witnessed an offense, aggressive word or bullying.
“We already knew we had to do that, I didn’t get there. I was always bulky, so I had to lose a little. [diretora] Marlene Mattos drawing attention, “he recalls.” Once I made a Portuguese mistake and she came to fight with me, but I knew it was for my maturity. “
