Comedian Juliana Oliveira, who filed a criminal representation at the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service against Otávio Mesquita, made a new statement on social networks on Tuesday (15).

In the video, Juliana talks about consent on recordings and says that SBT ignored her complaints, which she said were made from the first moment. The station was sought for a position on the former employee’s new accusations, but said it will not comment on the case.

“There is a video, which is coming out of Luan Santana. I grab him in the middle of the interview and two security guards arrive to get me from him. Guys, that video was rehearsed. These two security guards were actors. There was a script, had consent,” says Juliana.

According to her, in the recording where the abuse would have occurred, the agreed was just that she would help Octavius take the safety equipment. “We rehearsed and it was all ok. At the time of ‘valid’ that’s what you saw. He arrived with both hands on my ass, my chest, I got there but he didn’t stop. He clung to force, that was violence,” she says.

“That was not consented. This guy was saying it was a combined joke. Who, Otávio Mesquita? Who did you match?” She continues. “Ah, Juliana, but why didn’t you complain on the day? I complained about Danilo Gentili, my director and my production.”

Locked in the bathroom

According to the comedian, the production of “The Night” took the only providence of not inviting Otávio Mesquita to participate in the program. Even so, he made spontaneous appearances, without warning, in Gentili’s studio. Juliana reports that when that happened, she was locked in the bathroom by production.

“They hid me in the bathroom. It happened a lot more than ten times for years. I was locked in the bathroom as if the criminal were me,” he says.

Juliana says that only in 2020, when the case Dani Calabresa came to light, she managed to convince Danilo Gentili and the direction of the program to be by her side, they made room for her to report the presenter to compliance, but she says she was afraid of losing her job.

In 2024, the case was finally taken to compliance, but would have culminated in the resignation of Juliana. “I just looked for justice because SBT did nothing to defend me,” she said. In the coming days, she should file a lawsuit against the broadcaster for material and moral damages.

Case

Sexual violence would have occurred on the program that aired on April 25, 2016. Mesquita enters the stage of The Night hanging by a cape-tipped cable dressed as Batman. When Juliana arrives to help him remove safety equipment, he feels her breasts and her genitalia. Then, as he deviates, he grabs her with his legs and simulates that they are having sex.

Juliana shouts, discusses and kicks off to try to get rid of the presenter. Already standing, he hugs her, pushes her on the couch and makes movements again as if she was having sex with her. The episode lasts about three minutes. Mesquita says it was all a “combined joke”.

“Juliana is doing an ugly face, but I know she liked it,” says Danilo Gentili. Mesquita states, “I’m going to tell you something that, in your story, apart from your boyfriends, no one did. Unintentionally, I tightened her busts. It’s hard.”

The case was revealed by columnist Monica Bergamo, from Sheet. The Civil Police opened an inquiry to investigate the complaint. Otávio Mesquita says it is a “absurd”. “She took nine years and just did it now because she was fired and is upset,” he said.
