Make the most of the sun protection
If we had to keep only one product from all the routine, this would be no doubt the sunscreen. It doesn’t matter if it has a sun or cloudy, if you are on the beach or in your office – sun protection is something that should happen every day.

But here’s where things get a little messed up: how much does our face finally need sunscreen? Do we put less than it should? Or more?

The answer is simple and practical: two fingers. That is, you lay your sunscreen along the index and the middle – not too much, not a little, but about half a teaspoon overall. This quantity adequately covers the face and neck (yes, the neck counts!).

The point is not to “stab” it here and there. The important thing is to create a thin, uniform layer so that the SPF that the packaging writes properly. If you put less, you don’t get all the protection that the product promises.

And how often do you renew it?

If you are out, in the sun, you sweat or go into the water, it is good to refresh it every two hours. If you are in, you are not moving too much and the sun does not hit you intense, you can do a little bit – but generally, think of it like moisturizing: your skin thirsts for protection.

For you who are wearing makeup and thinking “how to put it again without spoiling everything?”, There is a solution: They are circulating sunscreen in powder or spray form, which you can pass over, easily and quickly. There are also BB Creams or Foundations with SPF to make one 2 in 1.

What sunscreen to choose?

The most important thing is not the brand as you find a product you like to wear. If it sticks, it is oily or it has a strange smell, you just won’t put it – and it cancels the whole phase.

See if your sunscreen is:

  • Spectrum (ie protects against UVA and UVB rays)
  • At least SPF 30 (Ideally SPF 50)
  • Lightweight, non -greasy and as comfortable as possible in texture

Whatever you choose, the important thing is one: to become a habit. Every morning, before you leave home. As you wash your face or put deodorant. Your skin will thank you every day – and you will see it in your mirror for years.
