The demonstration took place on Tuesday (29/04), two weeks after she participated, along with five other women, from a 11-minute flight from Blue Origin, a space tourism company.
According to the American star, the internet made it a “human piñata”, referring to the object made of paper and very common at birthday parties in Mexico, where people take turns to hit a stick. That is, a true ‘punching bag’.
Perry’s comment was made on a page of a Brazilian fan club dedicated to the artist on Instagram. She said “she was very grateful” for the support of the fan and that they were “in this beautiful and overwhelming journey together.”
The profile released a video of a billboard at Times Square in New York, funded by fans of the singer celebrating her new world tour.
One of the most successful pop singers of recent decades, Perry has received very negative comments since last year.
His most recent album was poorly received by the public, and the release single, “Woman’s World”, came with a clip that many considered retrograde.
Then she was criticized for participating in Blue Origin’s fully feminine crew space flight, organized by Jeff Bezos, during which she sang to other passengers the Louis Armstrong classic “What a Wonderful World”, and revealed the setlist of her new camera tour.
Some people have classified celebrity participation in such a expensive and short trip, especially in a moment of economic difficulties in the world.
However, singer Lily Allen apologized this week for “being mean” with Perry, saying that although she disagreed with the flight, she did not need to have participated in the “massacre” online against the artist.

Some fans have shown their support by joining to finance a message to Perry in a digital outdoor at Times Square, which was aired for 24 hours.
An account of an Instagram artist’s Brazilian fan club explained that the action was made to “remind her that she is never alone; our love for her is infinite, unshakable and eternal.”
“We are so proud of you and your magic journey. And we love you so much. Know that you are safe, viewed and celebrated. We’ll see you around the world. This is just the beginning,” said the displayed message.
An internet of ‘unbalanced and wounded’ people
Perry left a comment in the publication expressing his gratitude for fans:
“I love you and I have grown together with you. I am very excited to see you around the world this year! Please know that I’m fine and I have been hard work to find out who I am, which is real and important to me.”
She also said she’s not perfect, just a human being “playing the game of life with a audience of many.”
“Sometimes I fall, but I get up, go ahead and keep playing the game. And somehow, in this adventure full of injuries, I keep looking at the light.”
He added, “When the online world tries to turn me into a ‘human piñata’, I accept with elegance and return with love, because I know many people are suffering in so many ways, and the internet has become a deposit of unbalanced and wounded people.”
The singer, known for the hits “Roar”, “Firework” and “I Kissed a Girl”, has just begun her world tour, which runs until December and will pass through the United States, Canada, UAE, South America and Europe.
Perry said he is anxious to see the face of his audience “every night, singing in unison, reading messages and feeling the warmth of all.”
