On May 9, Europeans and Europeans will celebrate Europe’s Day.

2025 is the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundations for the European Union (EU) and paved the way for an unprecedented time of prosperity, peace, democracy, solidarity and cooperation in Europe.

On this occasion, there will be many events in the EU Member States and around the world, bringing citizens from all social strata.

The EU institutions will open their doors and invite citizens to visit their premises, get to know their work and participate in a wide range of educational and recreational activities.

Emblematic buildings and monuments around the world will be illuminated with EU colors, while a special program for Europe’s Day will be hosted in Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

In times of global uncertainty, Europe remains a pole of stability – a place of opportunities and protection for its citizens. The EU and its institutions work to achieve the common goal of prosperity and competitiveness, to guarantee our security and defense, while protecting the fundamental values for which Europeans and Europeans care about.
