Lady Gaga showed that her “Little Monsters” are faithful: 2.1 million people watched the singer’s show on Copacabana Beach on Saturday (3). The number exceeded Madonna’s public last year, 1.6 million, also on the beach of the south of Rio de Janeiro.

The artist’s largest audience had been registered in France in July 2022. The last time Lady Gaga performed in Brazil was in 2012. In 2017, she canceled her participation in Rock in Rio because of fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome that causes widespread pain, especially in muscles and tendons, as well as causing intense fatigue, sleep disorders, memory changes and attention, anxiety and even depression.

The singer thanked the fans for the wait. “I would have come back before, if I could. It will always mean a lot to me the way you sent me such beautiful messages and were so kind to me, wanting me to come back here,” he said. “It took me because I was healing me.”

“My heart is overflowing. I feel lucky, proud and deeply grateful. Today we are making history, but we are not making history alone. Without you, the amazing people of Brazil, I would not have this moment. Thanks for making history with me,” he concluded.
