“This Lady Gaga drummer has a breath of 300 bad wolves,” “He sure comes from Travis Barker school” and “Lady Gaga drummer is from hardcore” are some of the comments that appear on social networks about Tosh Peterson, who performed with the band of Gaga on Saturday night (3), at Copacabana beach.

Known as Tosh the Drummer, the drummer is 24 years old and native to Los Angeles, California, United States. According to the artist’s website, he started playing drums at the age of two and toured at 16.

Tosh has tours all over the world and recorded with several singers. His frantic and unique performance made him recognized by other presentations, such as Laguna Drumfest in Mexico, where he played alongside South Korean singer Jung Kook of the BTS group.

Internet users pointed out that he has also been with Jungkook at the Global Citizen Festival in the United States.

But it was not just the talent and musicality that caught the attention of fans. “Sabor” was one of the adjectives widely used to characterize the artist’s physical attributes.

In addition to Lady Gaga and K-Idol, Tosh has played shows with artists such as Troye Sivan, Filter, Fall Out Boy, Kid Laroi, Jxdn (Jaden Isaiah Hossler), Machine Gun Kelly, Young Thug, Bazzi, Bad Bunny, Ashton Irwin, Carlie Hanson, Royal and the Serpent, Bryce Vine, Mario Biondi, Nik West, Jonny Goode, Bexley and J-Hope.

The big dream of Tosh is not yet realized is playing with the American rock band Bon Jovi. “They are my favorite artists of all time. I would literally do anything to play for them someday,” he said in an interview with the Melodic Magazine portal in February. The band is known for hits such as “Livin ‘On A Prayer”, “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “Wanted Dead or Alive”

Other influences are Thomas Pridgen, Chad Smith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dave Grohl, Nirvana and Foo Fighters. The musician even has a tattoo like Taylor Hawkins.

Tosh’s love for the drums came from his father, Douglas Peterson, who played in the English band The English Beat. “I was inspired by my father, who did this to live and played music all his life,” Tosh wrote on his site.

In the days before the show, the musician took advantage of Rio de Janeiro to take a boat trip, meet Christ the Redeemer and eat feijoada.
