This Wednesday (14), the CPI of Bets heard the testimony of the digital influencer and humorist Rico Melquiades. During the session, the influencer complained about the pressure made by the senators and compared the treatment with the data to Virginia Fonseca, who was heard in the Senate on Tuesday (13).

He also pointed out that at the end of the previous session, there were requests for photos and people following the influencer on Instagram.
Senator Soraya Thronicke (Somos/MS), CPI’s rapporteur, responded to the influencer with an irony. “I will follow you today,” he said. She also clarified that she did not follow Virginia before the statement and that it was the influencer who asked to take a picture.
The situation occurred shortly after Soraya asked Rico to demonstrate the operation of a betting game in front of her and transferred the amount to his bank account. He even places orders during the session.
The humorist is the second influencer to be heard by the senators in the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry that investigates online betting services. Currently, he has more than 4 million followers on Instagram.
