The Public Prosecutor of the State of Jalisco, Mexico, is investigating the death of Valeria Márquez, an influencer who was hit by two shots while making a live broadcast on Tiktok.
The case occurred last Tuesday (13) in Zapopan, in the Metropolitan Region of Guadalajara. Valeria was murdered inside her beauty salon around 6:30 pm (local time). According to the local website El Graphic, authorities suspect a femicide commissioned.
Valeria was 23 years old and recorded videos about fashion and beauty. At the time of the attack, she was live for her 95,000 followers.
Authorities investigate whether the crime was commissioned by Honduran Jesús Hernández, ex-boyfriend of the influencer, who was already on the run. Valeria would have received threats from the ex on the days before death.
Hours before the murder, the influencer commented to the fans that someone had wanted to give her a gift. The person would have told a hall employee who needed to give the gift in hand because “it was expensive.”
In the video, Valeria appears interacting with fans on live broadcast when a man arrives at the motorcycle hall, passing through a supplier. The influencer mutates the audio of the transmission to serve it. The man pulls the gun of a black bag and shots in Valeria, one in the abdomen and two in the head.
After the shots, an employee takes Valeria’s cell phone and interrupts the transmission. The influencer died at the scene and the suspect fled motorcycle. The images have already been taken from the social network.
