Model Sasha Meneghel, 23, did a photo shoot for Elle magazine and delighted fans by recreating a classic pose of her mother Xuxa, 58, in one of the photos. With a new style, Sasha remade the cover photo of the album “Xou da Xuxa 1”, released in 1986.
On her Instagram profile, Xuxa shared the photo and thanked her daughter for the tribute. “Guys, I didn’t know I was going to receive this gift from my Sashita. She idealized it, dreamed it and Elle bought the idea”, began the artist in the text.
“I spent a good 15 years of Sasha’s life thinking she didn’t want to be anything like me and I’ve always respected her thoughts (it can’t be easy being in someone’s shadow, even if it’s someone you love). for my birthday, I get this gift: ‘Mother, I’m very proud to be your only daughter!'”, continued Xuxa, who turns 59 on Sunday (27).
She went on to say that Sasha doesn’t look like her because she’s perfect. “I always wanted and dreamed of you the way you are, but today I was surprised to see you entering my world that was always yours”, she added, who thanked Sasha’s husband, singer João Figueiredo, to her boyfriend, Junno Andrade, and the model’s father, Luciano Szafir.
“You are beautiful inside and out. I love you!”, completed the singer. Sasha responded to her mother’s post, and left a comment on the photo. “I love you so much! So much mother… I’m so proud of you! So proud to be your daughter! Much respect and admiration for your whole story! You are my example! I love you forever, your Sasa.” In her profile, Sasha also shared the photo and wrote “the pose of millions” in the caption.
