In the Ionian Islands it was found in the week when the show passed us Where there is Greeceand like every Sunday, the Enebia Revi makes a journey account. What they saw, what they heard, what they heard with George Kourdis and their team in the islands they visited?

“There” where there is Greece “, we were there the week that spent us on a journey that looked” lightning “from the Aegean to the Ionian Sea. Our voyage to islands that are not just places- they are souls, memories, roots and dreams- continued with our alarm clock beating loudly at 5am Monday, May 12th.

Our first station is Kefalonia with the “air” trip starting on a boat, at the edge of the Gulf of Argostoli. There, where fishermen and wives, Antonia and Michalis, decided not to overflow, not bend, but to turn their lives into a trail of tourism and sustainability. Where Mandolinata is not just music, but a bond of blood with tradition. One of our most moving reports was the struggle of high school children who played ball to support the little John who is fighting with cancer in America with a smile, because he knows that he has a whole homeland behind him and praying.

And then we met Mrs. Anastasia, who is 86 years old, but she enters the wave with her board, not to break a record, but to remind us that the spirit does not grow old and that if you want everything. After all, even when the road collapses, the hospital is underfunded, or Tartan is dangerously damaged, the Kefalonians are not cursed, they create: an event for Mikis Theodorakis, a beach volleyball club for everyone, a young band -the Gen Z who dreams and sings.

On Tuesday we set up our studio in Lixouri, where the Earth never stopped trembling, but people stand firm, even though earthquakes are still waiting. In Lixouri, at the same time, young people do miracles. The Poseidon Athletic Club, has made Greek champions, record holders, children training with sweat, courage and salty water in the hair. Kids who do their workouts in Argostoli and are soon waiting to get a suitable swimming pool in their place. However, they are athletes who not only fight, but succeed and rise high on the podium when they fight.

In Agia Efimia and Poros and Skala on the other hand, the inhabitants live with the fear of rain and still await justification: a flood protection project that will not be a promise, but an act. In Ace, the rains do not just rinse the leaves – they lure the anxiety of the inhabitants with the soil. The landscape, gorgeous, holds under its green volatility.

And yet, in all, the island hopes. Tourism is good, not because everything is perfect, but because people want to travel where there is truth, beauty and kindness. And these are never missing from Cephalonia.

On Wednesday we sailed to Ithaca, the island that is synonymous with returning, internal integration. And we broke a record, after we moved with three ships in about 12 hours … In Ithaca, we were guided by the beloved actress Dora Chrysikos who, after her battle with cancer, returned victoriously and now sees with other eyes what her childhood memory recorded on her island. We also met George Lila, who is a diver and is doing everything he can to save the bottom of his island, but also a young couple from Bristol, who left the rain of England to raise his child in an olive grove overlooking Galini and the endless blue.

It was our great pleasure that we also encountered the crowned Sofia Arapogiannis, in the 8th month of her pregnancy to break all the stereotypes, after leaving the catwalks to wear naval uniforms and becoming a captain on the same beaches he once knew as a child. But behind all this, there is a great deal of anxiety: there is no pediatrician on the island, just as we recorded happening in Santorini, Skyros, Florina … And yet the municipality is fighting. He is struggling to restore a building to house the new hope, struggles to keep the streets open, Odysseus’ palace to make it visible and Ithaca shine with the light it deserves.

In Zakynthos, our journey reached its peak and we broke another record, as we moved four times within a 24 -hour period. So on the island, which was sung as “Fioro of Levante”, the turtles of Caretta – Caretta, silent guards of balance, seek respect. The special school of the island, a real light in silence, reminds us that education is not a luxury – it is a right.

Many residents, however, have told us that tourism is scanning everything and the problems are many: from rubbish management to the crime that plagues the island. And in this climate, Zakynthos girls play in Doxa Pigadakia, proving that sports do not know from gender.

The truth is that in Zakynthos we also met nice people, such as fashion designer Nikos Aliazis, who, despite his young age, has already conquered the abroad, but never forgets his place.

For us, after all, in every place, in every corner of Greece, this show brings not only images, but the truths and problems that almost no one deals with. In each show we come across the old and the new, the wound and the medicine, the problem and the hope. Because, yes, “where there is Greece”, there is also a fighting man. A child who dreams. A mother waiting. A grandfather who remembers. And a place that stands.

And finally, this may be the homeland: not something we inherit, but something we choose to build every day. With hands, with words, with music, with our souls. Because “where there is Greece” – there is light. And this light is not born in the big urban centers, but in the countless corners of our country that people speak authentically and with their hearts. “

On Monday, the show where there is Greece uphill in Thessaloniki:
