Thousands of his fellow citizens rushed to congratulate him and take a photo with him
Warm welcome waited for 24-year-old JJ, the winner of Eurovision 2025 on behalf of Austria, at Vienna Airport as yesterday, the day after the big final, Johannes Pietsch as JJ is said- returned to his country.
The JJ met a warm welcome by thousands of his fellow citizens who rushed to congratulate him on his Eurovision victory and taking a photo with him.

As he crossed the gate, hundreds of fans were cheering on him, some were playing his song and others hugged him and asked for autographs, according to AP. The young artist, holding the heavy trophy and a bouquet of red roses, did not hide his emotion stating that “this victory is for you.”
JJ gave Austria the country’s 3rd victory in the course of the competition. The first time was in 1966 with Udo Jürgens and the track “Merci Cherie” and the second in 2014, when Conchita Wurst won the first place with “Rise Like a Phoenix”.
Slipper with Ogae Greece, in the first statements after his victory, JJ talked about Conchita, who is a friend.
“It’s the best! It was very supportive throughout the Eurovision trip. He told me “JJ I’m ready to hand over the trophy and you’re the next winner”!
