Halkidiki welcomes today, Wednesday, May 21 at 14.45, “Where there is Greece”, Elabia Revi and George Kourdis. For 2 days, the outdoor studio of the show becomes the Halkidiki peninsula, which uniquely combines the mountain and the sea, the green and the blue color, while offering visitors exciting experiences.

The land of Halkidiki is proud of its global philosopher, Aristotle. We are led to his footsteps and his thinking. A physiognomy that lived in the area is also the fictional Alexis Zorbas, who inspired Kazantzakis and the… sirtaki. We walk in his village, Paleochori and learn real events of his life.

We hear a moving story from Moudania about a little girl who lives a little differently her childhood compared to her peers. He was 6 years old when diagnosed with leukemia. A year later, Ioannoula is well thanks to the love of those around her. Her 11 -year -old sister has become bone marrow donor for the little fighter and the family supports her on the difficult road.

The beautiful, dense forest in the village of Taxiarchis is … of the University. There, students do their practice, meeting locals who share their daily lives with us and legends. Every year the first Christmas tree of the year lights up there in the Taxiarch.

From dawn, we follow Holomonta’s loggers. They work hard but they do not change anything they do. The forest is their life and they protect it from every threat. But they feel that they are in danger of a new law to assign the logging to contractors.

A family in Halkidiki cultivates vineyards to have the necessary raw material for traditional tomatoes. Tradition goes from grandmother to grandchildren and their dumplings travel around the world.

An unusual but promising image for the periphery is that of a piano manufacturer and latrine in the New Gonia Halkidiki. In his art workshop, Panos Ioannidis takes us musically to another “universe” and reveals us secretly.
