Singer Chris Brown, 36, was released from prison in the United Kingdom on Wednesday (21), where he had remained since last Thursday (15). He is accused of assaulting a producer in 2023.
He had had a bail request denied by court on Friday (16), but now it has changed. According to Reuters, it was only released on the condition of paying about $ 37 million in up to seven days.
He will still be forced to deliver his passport except when traveling to shows. In June and July, Brown will perform for a tour in England.
Remember the arrest
The singer’s arrest was linked to an episode of violence recorded on February 19, 2023, at the Tape nightclub, located in Mayfair, one of the most popular areas of the English capital. At the time, music producer Abe Diaw denounced that he was brutally assaulted by the singer during a party.
According to Diaw’s testimony to The Sun newspaper, Chris Brown would have hit him in the head with a bottle and continued the aggression with punches and kicks, even when he was already lying on the floor. “He hit me on his head two or three times. My knee also collapsed,” he said.
The producer also said that he had to be hospitalized and even left the hospital of Multias. He sues the singer in a $ 16 million action.
