For a girl just 22 years old, it’s definitely not easy to manage such a weight. To represent an entire country in an international competition and tear. But Klavdia is definitely not a typical girl of her age. And she certainly stands out for many and not only for her undisputed talent that we knew from her participation and her victory in The Voice.

Just a few days after her return to Greece, she spoke to Sasa Stamatis and the newspaper Parapolitika about all her feelings but also about her family and the lessons she took from them from a young age.

“It may sound weird, but I still haven’t realized it. I accept a lot of love, the messages I receive are stormy, to the point that I haven’t sat down to think about what was all that happened. “said Claudia and added: “The interval from the Greek final, in late January, to this day it was very full, with a lot of work and effort from the whole team. I am very happy that through our starfish and appearance in the competition I made many people move, whether they speak Greek or not, and identify with our emotion and music. “

But how was all this experience for her?

“I certainly enjoyed the Eurovision experience. It is huge and difficult to describe in words an artist to represent his country in a competition, to go up to such a scene, with millions of eyes from different countries on him, and to get in touch with different people, music and cultures. It was creative, even if it was full demanding. It was a life experience and a music experience that I will always remember. “

Of course, Klavdia was also mentioned in her family and her named grandmother Claudia which is beyond doubt its greatest admirer:

“My family is of Pontian descent. They came from the former Soviet Union in 1991. They had a hard time building their lives here, working very hard. From them I took the example and learned to work hard and not put it down to achieve my goals. It was my mother who first realized the gift of my voice and from Grandma Claudia I have received love for tradition. “ said Klavdia talking about her own and continued:

“My grandmother, whose name I have taken, is one of the most important people in my life, as is my whole family. I have grown up in a very beautiful environment, with my parents, brothers and grandparents to support me and encourage me to pursue my dream all these years. “

What does Pontus mean to you?

“Grandma Claudia has told me stories, she has told me about her family, how they were exposed and went to the former Soviet Union. My parents were born and lived there until an age and came to Greece, as I mentioned before. The values and ideals of Pontian Hellenism exist in my value system, they are part of me, as I grew up and nurtured with them. I am proud of my Pontian roots and I honor them through my music. “
