After a risky pregnancy and difficult episodes involving obstetric violence, Shantal, 33, and Mateus Verdelho, 39, finally had time to relax. The parents of Felippo, 2 years old, and Domenica, 6 months old, received a night voucher to enjoy the second day of Lollapalooza this Saturday (26).
The couple says they haven’t taken time alone to have fun for over a year, and that they feel they are coming back to life. “For me it was a double release, because I was in bed for three months, I had a risky pregnancy. It’s not that I didn’t leave the house, like most people, I didn’t get out of bed”, explains Shantal.
“Now that I’m stopping breastfeeding, going back to work, doing my thing, I’m feeling alive — that’s the feeling. And being able to leave the house, come to the festival, remember what we were like before all these events.. . wow, it’s very good”, celebrates the influencer.
According to her, the feeling of security in enjoying the event comes from the support network. “I’ll be very honest: as we left the children with all the grandparents, we are very calm”, she says.
At his side, Mateus comments on the joy of returning to the festival together with his wife. According to him, the two went to shows every year before the pandemic, and their return after long months of social isolation was marked by a new sensation.
“I think she was more anxious to go somewhere else than to go to the event itself, but it’s nice for us to see a lot of people, a lot of friends, a lot of acquaintances that we haven’t seen in so long… we have the feeling of being young again”, he says.
He says that he intended to attend the Foo Fighters show on Sunday (27), and that he was surprised by the death of Taylor Hawkins, the band’s drummer, found dead in Colombia on Friday (25).
“I’m not much of a follower often, but there are some songs that are classic, that marked some moment, and I wanted to hear it. In fact, a brother of mine had invited me to watch this show with him, and tomorrow is his birthday. Then I said: ‘bro, let’s go’, but unfortunately that happened”, he laments.
