With a romantic tailoring look, Manu Gavassi, 29, arrived at Lollapalooza accompanied by her boyfriend, Julio Reis, to honor Miley Cyrus’ show. The performance of the North American singer is one of the great attractions of the second day of the festival, held at the Interlagos circuit, in São Paulo.
“I’ve been an unconditional fan of hers since the beginning of her career. I’m a real fan, you know, who have the lyrics of the songs from the ‘Hannah Montana’ era memorized”, he said about the 2006 show.
“I follow her career and I get a lot of inspiration from the path she took as an artist. I always thought: if she does it, I can do it too, since we are the same age. She brings a lot of feminine strength and is not afraid honoring her past, something many artists do. I’m in love with her”, declares Manu.
In addition to enjoying international pop rock, the actress and singer revealed that she often exchanges many musical references with her boyfriend. “We combine a lot because of that, we have an eclectic and open taste for the new. We like to introduce ourselves to new artists. The good thing is that, now, with almost everyone vaccinated, we can listen to the shows live, feel the energy of the stage again”, she celebrates.
For the festival, Manu opted for a coat bought at a thrift store in London, where she recently traveled. “I don’t deny that I’m a thrift store enthusiast, not only because of the issue of sustainability within fashion, but also because of the possibility of using pieces from other eras and putting together looks with my vision of today”, says Manu.
According to her, “comfort” was the word that governed her choice. “However, after so long without ‘closing in’, I put a little boldness”, he concludes.
