Actress Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in the series “Euphoria” and the movie “All Less You”, among other works, launched a soap made with the water with which she supposedly showered.
The limited edition, called “Bathwater Bliss”, went viral on social networks. Produced in partnership with the men’s brand Dr. Squatch, the soap had only 5,000 bottles manufactured. Each unit was accompanied by a certificate that attests to the use of the actress’s “real bath water”.
Described as marbled, with shades of blue and brown, the soap was presented by Sydney as “super soft” and with fragrance inspired by natural aromas such as pine, moss and spruce. “I wanted something close to my roots,” she said in an interview with GQ magazine.
“Fans always play that they want my bath water. This is such a cool way to talk to the audience and give them what they want,” said the actress.
The soap proposal divided opinions on the internet. While fans said the idea is intelligent, others questioned hygiene and the concept. “Take a shower with dirty water soap?” Criticized the @eleogedes profile. In contrast, @PedroLive19 defended the action: “You have to take money from a man.”
The launch was interpreted as a bold marketing move. “The Sexy Symbol of the generation, billionaire monetizing men fetishes,” wrote @carlaaamelio.
A promotional campaign was launched on Dr. Squatch’s official Instagram. One hundred people, necessarily over 18, will be selected to receive the product firsthand.
This was not Sweeney’s first collaboration with the brand. In October last year, she starred in a commercial with four male fragrances. The campaign video surpassed 20 million views on Youtube.
The “Bathwater Bliss” will be officially available from June 6th and the edition will not be renewed.
