In 2021, the world of Karol Conká, 39, turned upside down after his controversial participation in Big Brother Brazil (Globo). At the time, the heated discussions with Luke Penteado made them eliminated with the greatest rejection to date in reality: 99.17%.
Despite the trauma, the singer says she learned from what happened and that today is a more balanced person, much because of the “good therapies” she does. “I feel that my life is well scripted in the face of what I have already experienced, so I say that I am in the best phases, more mature and comfortable to be who I am,” he says.
Four years later and celebrating 25 years of career, Karol says he was able to reinvent himself and get stronger from the “flood” he has gone through. “To this day I am remembered for this, but in a place of more affection and empathy. I became a memetic figure,” he says.
The singer, who currently collaborates and encourages her son, Jorge Conjota, to launch herself in the world of rap, already prepares what says she will be the best album in her career and talks about the expectation of playing in big festivals. Check out the artist’s main answers to the topics of the conversation.
Three moments of pride
“The first was the release of the album ‘Batuk Freak’ (2013), one of the most important in the scene, at a time that I was able to pierce my bubble. The second moment was when I launched ‘Tombei’, in 2015. At that time I reached a larger audience, I became host of major brands, tour in Europe and appeared more. And the third remarkable moment was when, in 2022, I let go of the album ‘Urucum’, proving to everyone that it is possible to go through a flood and reinvent itself. “
BBB rejection 21
“My trauma from the past have been surpassed on the basis of a lot of therapy. I feel that my life is well scripted in the face of what I have already experienced, so I say that I am in one of the best, more mature, more balance and comfortable being who I am.”
Repentance
“I do not regret entering, it was a great experience that brought knowledge about humanity. I do not bother me when they talk about BBB 21, because it was quite an edition, impossible to forget. To this day I am remembered for that, but in a place of more affection and empathy. I have seen a memetic figure. They see myself as a human being who can fail. I’m not here to be perfect.”
Fear of cancellation
“The audience has seen how cruel it is when the viewer demands from the other qualities that they do not even have. We live in a hypocritical country and it is natural that other famous people, when they enter Big Brother, be afraid. But when we have good therapy, support from people who love us and self -knowledge is lighter. All are subject to judgments, which cannot be naturalized is hate.”
Learning
“It was a pandemic year and everyone was wanting to watch TV. But the energies were messy, people lost people for Covid. The mistake I made inside, many people would make emotional imbalance. Brazilian is not used to seeing women so authentic without fear of taking mistakes and putting my face.
New projects
“I want to make a celebration and connect with new artists. My new album is still in an embryonic phase. I want to make a retrospective of what I lived, in a kind of warm -up for the album. It will be the best of my career. I participated in a movie that will soon all know more details.”
Tour and shows
“I’m going to play at Castro Festival [dia 21 de junho, no Vale do Anhangabaú, em SP] And I will invite Boombeat and Linn da Quebrada to a presentation focused on reception. And also in The Town [dia 6 de setembro, em Interlagos] When I will invite Aldaly Costa and Ebony, women who are rap power. “
Son singer
“I am collaborating with this dream of Jorge Conjota, who was willing to embark on this adventure and have a career in rap. He has made some performances with me. He writes, knows how to be a studio at home than me. I feel surprised by him, at 19, having this brilliant artistic vein.
25 years of career
“When I look back, I am proud to allow me to do what I wanted, I worked with people who were in the same vibration. I am proud of the courage I had to resist and turn my experiences into art.”
