Every day, Silvio Gama, 68, does everything always the same – and finding it great: he gets in his car, supplies a bag with freshly cut and peeled fresh fruit pots and goes to the niece at work.
The niece in question is actress Taís Araujo, 46, who after 12 hours of recordings at Globo delights with the cold delicacies she likes so much. “She loves mango, orange, khaki. She is also a fan of atmocia and seriguela. I try to make it easier and already get everything cut, I take the lumps and peel, if necessary. She is happy. She loves a cold fruit,” says Uncle Silvinho, as she became known behind the scenes of Globo. “After a day of service, it is always good for affection,” he says.
Silvio goes almost daily to a vegetable in Rio de Janeiro or the fair to try to find the best options. Then come home and prepare everything. So, just wait for Taís’s connection, warning you are already in the last scenes. “I have a list of what she likes to eat and I do this to have a day with more joy,” he says.
The retired military firefighter after 30 years of services says he has only one request to his famous niece: “I ask you to return my little pots (laughs),” he has fun, who had a dream of being a musician. Asked if he would risk some tip in the soap opera “Vale Tudo”, where Taís acts as the lady Raquel, he is categorical: “The person needs to have a gift, I never thought of it.”
But Silvio doesn’t even have to appear in Globo’s 21h soap opera to be dear. He says that the cast of Manuela Dias’s plot already knows him very well. “They joke they wanted to have an uncle like me.”
According to him, there are other cast actors who keep an eye on the pots of Taís. “A lot of people at Projac asks me for fruit. Sometimes, when I know my niece will record with a few more colleagues, I take extra pots. I already took to Bella Campos. To Camila Pitanga too.”
Silvio says he usually makes meals salted to his niece at his house or in his own actress when she asks for something different. But what would be Rachel’s favorite dish of “Vale Tudo”? “In everyday life, she has her food that is balanced, but loves when I do a seafood feijoada with white bean.”
In his Instagram profile, Uncle Silvinho gets hundreds of followers whenever he publishes some video. On the weekend alone, he says he went from 9,000 to 20,000 followers. It currently has over 40 thousand.
